Privacy policy
This policy applies specifically to KARUU China Entry for Android, package net.karuu.chinamarket, version 0.3.3. This release is an offline business-research demo. It does not provide a live research mode.
Controller and contact
KARUU AB, Sweden, is responsible for the processing described here. For privacy requests, contact john@karuu.net.
Product and business text
Product names, categories, business context, notes, edits and generated briefs are processed and stored only on the user’s device. Version 0.3.3 does not transmit them to KARUU, a cloud service, an AI service or a search provider.
Optional product image
The selected image stays on the device and is displayed only as a local visual reference in the input, interpretation and report screens. Version 0.3.3 does not inspect its pixels, infer product attributes from it, upload it or transmit it to an AI model or other service. Report content comes from user-entered text and the packaged curated demo dataset.
Clipboard
A Chinese contact draft is placed on the device clipboard only after the user taps Copy. Clipboard access is then governed by the device operating system and any apps the user chooses to paste into.
External public-source links
The app includes curated links to public websites. Tapping one opens that website in the device browser. The destination website may receive normal browser information and applies its own privacy policy and terms. KARUU China Entry does not send the user’s app inputs to the destination.
Storage, retention, sharing and sale
Saved briefs remain in local app storage until the user deletes them in the app, clears the app’s data or uninstalls the app. KARUU does not receive, collect, share or sell these inputs or saved briefs.
Accounts, analytics, advertising and payments
Version 0.3.3 has no account system, cloud synchronization, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, payment service or third-party tracker. It does not use the Google advertising ID.
Permissions and user choices
Users choose whether to select a product image and whether to save a brief. The app uses the Android system picker to let the user select content. Users can delete saved briefs inside the app and can remove all local app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Privacy rights and deletion
Users may contact KARUU about privacy rights under applicable law. Because version 0.3.3 does not send app inputs or saved briefs to KARUU, KARUU normally has no corresponding server-side content to locate or delete.
Children
The app is intended for business users and is not directed to children.
Changes
This policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before any release materially changes data collection, storage, sharing, analytics, advertising, payments or service providers.
Support
For privacy questions, support requests, or deletion questions, email john@karuu.net. The same developer contact will be shown on the Google Play listing.
When reporting a technical issue, include the app version, Android version, device model, and a short description of what happened. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment details, or confidential product information.
